K3+ - Summer 2018

Dear Parents of Students who will be in Kindergarten, First, Second and Third Grades for the 2018-2019 school year,

Would your child benefit from a “jump start” to his/her school year?  A grant will be available again this year from the New Mexico Public Education Department to provide students with a five week “jump start” in the areas of reading, written language, math and science. Students who participate in this K- 3 Plus program will receive intensive services in academic areas, free bus transportation, and free breakfast and lunch.

The program will run June 6th– July 11th, 2018, with no school on July 4th.  Your child’s teacher can provide you with your child’s current academic progress in reading, written language and math as well as the benefits of the “jump start” program.  In order to reserve a spot for your child in this wonderful learning opportunity, we are requesting that you visit with your child's teacher or visit SRM's front office to complete an interest form.  More information will be sent home to interested families as the program is developed.

We look forward to giving your child the necessary skills and opportunities that he/she will need to succeed in the next academic school year. Please do not hesitate to contact me at 505-831-5400 should you have any questions.
