~ Call 830-8080 Service Desk for problems with your email account and other intranet services account (access, not receiving messages, other errors)

~ Avoid just telling me your problem, because there is 90% chance I WILL FORGET about it!! So, make sure to write it down (email, text, form) or leave a message!

copiers & printers

PRINTERS

Please DO NOT PAUSE printing on your laptop without RESUMING printing after problems are resolved.

All jobs are entered into a queue in the printer, in the order that they are received. If you send a job to print and pause it, no one else will be allowed to print until your printing is resumed.

If you do not want to continue your printing, you can cancel or delete it. You can click on the printing icon in your dock, and click the x to clear the job, or go to System Preferences, Printers, and select the printer by clicking it twice. You will see your jobs, and can now click the x next to them to cancel them. 

If you notice that the printer is not printing your doc, and it seems unresponsive, press the CANCEL BUTTON (red orange) on the top to the printer for a few seconds (I always count to 10). When “Ready” shows in the printer screen, you can send your printing again.

COPIERS

All teachers and support staff have access to all copiers (4 in the workroom and 1 in the Teachers Lounge) for SCANNING and COPYING.

EAs only have access to SCANNING in the workroom copiers.

The Lounge Copier has a USB port that you can use to save your scans in a flash drive.

 

TIPS TO USE THE COPIERS:

  1. CHECK THE JOB STATUS BEFORE PUTTING THE PAPER IN. DELETE ALL JOBS BEFORE AND AFTER USING THE MACHINE.
  2. FAN ALL 4 SIDES OF THE PAPER STACK.
  3. MAKE SURE TO SET THE RIGHT SIZE AND KIND OF PAPER IN SETTINGS, AND SELECT THE RIGHT TRAY.
  4. UNJAM PROPERLY!!! DO NOT LEAVE JAMS FOR THE NEXT USER TO CLEAR!! CALL, TEXT OR EMAIL DANIELA if you don’t know how or do not have time to do it!!
