Dr. Seuss (Theodore Seuss Geisel) – (March 2, 1904-September 24, 1991):

author of over 40 books for children including most popular book Cat in the Hat, among many others!

Intermediate Author of the Month

Kate DiCamillo- March 25, 1964-

two time Newbery Award winner for The Tale of Despereaux (2004) and Flora and Ulysses (2014); also author of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and Mercy Watson series.

Parent Conference Notices

Teachers, thank you for distributing overdue/lost/

damaged notices to parents during parent/teacher  

conferences last month.  Many students have returned

their books and/or paid for lost library books!  I

appreciate your help in clearing your students’ library records!

Book Fair a Great Success!

We had another successful book fair in February! Thank you to all students, families and staff who supported our library with purchases from our book fair.  A special thank you to all parent volunteers, teachers and staff, especially Daniela, who helped with the Book Fair!  With their help, we all benefit with great new books to read!

Below is information about our sales.

Book Fair Sales: $5565.13

Our Library Profit: $2495.31 (Scholastic Dollars)

 

With the profits earned, many new books for our library will be purchased and some worn books will be replaced. Many books, posters and others items will be given as prizes to students for Battle of the Books and for the end of school year drawings.
